Add as many tool proficiencies as you need (Tales of the Valiant · Character Builder · Enhancement)
The Tools section had six slots, so a character who earned a seventh tool proficiency had nowhere to put it. Tools now work the way Languages already did: pick from a grouped list or type your own, with no limit. Anything your class, background, lineage, heritage or a talent grants is marked and locked so you drop it by changing the thing that granted it. Granted tools also print on the official PDF now, and Rogues and Bards can take expertise in them.

Release 258: The Traveller lifepath follows the book

The lifepath keeps track of where you are (Traveller · Character Creation & Builder · Bug Fix)
Players reported terms going missing and rolls that did not match what the sheet showed afterwards. The term you are part way through now holds on to what happened in it, so the career you served, the rank you earned and the roll you made all survive to the end of the term.

The career list shows where you already stand (Traveller · Character Creation & Builder · Enhancement)
Nothing on the career list said which career you were serving in, and one you had left the term before could still be picked even though the rules shut it to you. The career you are in now sorts to the top and says that staying needs no qualification roll, and one that is closed to you this term says so instead of offering odds.

A commission from university or the academy arrives when you join (Traveller · Character Creation & Builder · Bug Fix)
Leaving university or the academy with a commission waiting did nothing until the end of your first term, and graduating with honours never applied the bonus it promised. You now take that commission on the way into the career, at officer rank one.

Officer ranks pay the officer rank bonuses (Traveller · Character Creation & Builder · Bug Fix)
A commissioned officer was being promoted against the enlisted rank table, so every promotion handed out the wrong skill or benefit. Officers now read their own table.

Mishaps that offer a choice let you make it (Traveller · Character Creation & Builder · Bug Fix)
Several mishaps branch, and one of those branches asks for a roll of its own. The mishap card now lays the options out, rolls whatever the branch needs, and applies the one you picked.

Mishaps that bring someone into your life ask for their name (Traveller · Character Creation & Builder · Enhancement)
A mishap that gave you an ally or an enemy dropped a nameless entry on the sheet with nothing to prompt you for a name. The term now waits while you name them, and records which mishap they came out of.

Your age counts the terms you have served (Traveller · Character Creation & Builder · Bug Fix)
A Traveller with five terms behind them still printed Age 18 on a finished sheet and made qualification rolls as an eighteen year old. Age is counted from the terms served now, starting at eighteen and adding four years a term.

From Friday anything outside it keeps its name and loses the rules text, so nothing gets deleted and your characters carry on working. Any character affected is flagged when you open it.

Seven backgrounds handed out the wrong starting money (Tales of the Valiant · Lineage, Heritage & Background · Bug Fix)
Five of the newer backgrounds gave a character no starting coins at all, and two dropped an item named after the coin into the bag instead of paying the money. Every background that lists coins now pays them into the purse.

The Class step now shows a weapon picker when you take Manifest Might, and the pick adds your proficiency bonus to that weapon's attacks and appears in your proficiencies. A related fix: the Ranger's Explorer Movement choice made in the builder now sets your climb or swim speed.

That turned out to affect every die type rather than just the coin, and was worst on d10s and d20s. Two more faults meant the dice on screen could disagree with your result: a d10 showed one lower about one roll in ten, and a percentile roll in the nineties showed 00 on the tens die. Your rolls were always scored correctly, so this was the dice lying about a number that was already right.

It also has its own sound instead of borrowing a dice roll.

It jumped straight back to your maximum, which hid the one state that matters most, because zero hit points is when death saving throws begin. You cannot go below it, and the death save row is usable the moment you arrive.

The scroll list no longer shows through the stat block (Tales of the Valiant · Character Sheet & Layout · Bug Fix)
With a long list of scrolls, the list showed through a thin gap just above the row with AC, initiative, speed and proficiency bonus.

Your background talent shows on the sheet (Tales of the Valiant · Lineage, Heritage & Background · Bug Fix)
The talent you choose with your background never appeared as chosen once you got to the sheet.

Read a ritual before you learn it (Tales of the Valiant · Spells & Rituals · Enhancement)
Spells in Manage Spells already opened for a closer read. Advancement was letting any hero pick it up, and in Action Flicks the advancement menu offered it across almost every setting. It is now blocked from advancing and swapping in the corebook, Superheroes, World of Killers, and every Action Flicks setting, and the same rule now guards Superheroes' Only Weakness.
